Before You Begin

A practical way to estimate whether compensation applies — and roughly how much.

The law restricts certain advertising messages sent without prior consent, including SMS, emails, fax messages, and some automated dialing systems. If you received advertising without consent — or if messages continued after you asked to stop — you may be entitled to statutory compensation. This is a preliminary compensation review. You don’t need legal wording or a complete file to start. Share what you have, and we’ll assess the facts and evidence. What you’ll receive after our review: • Whether compensation is likely relevant (yes / maybe / unlikely) • An approximate compensation range based on the number of messages and the strength of the evidence • What is strong, what may be missing, and the recommended next step (including any fees, if applicable, before anything proceeds) To estimate compensation, the key details are: what was sent, when it was sent, who sent it, how many messages you received (approximate is fine), and whether you attempted to unsubscribe. If you don’t have everything now, you can still proceed — we can request specific missing details later.

Legal basis (Section 30A — Communications Law)

This review is based on Section 30A of the Communications Law (Bezeq and Broadcasting), which regulates the transmission of advertising messages via SMS, email, fax, and certain automated calling systems.

  • As a rule, advertising may not be sent through these channels without the recipient’s prior express consent.
  • Advertising must include identifying details of the advertiser and clear contact information.
  • A simple and reasonable opt-out method must be provided, and continued sending after an opt-out request may strengthen the claim.
  • In certain cases, the court may award statutory (exemplary) compensation of up to ₪1,000 per unlawful advertisement received, without proving actual damage.
